What to Expect at Your First Pain Management Consultation
Your first visit to our pain management centre is an in-depth consultation with a pain specialist—a physician trained extensively in diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions.
During this appointment, your doctor will:
- Review your pain history and how it affects your daily life
- Discuss your health goals and expectations
- Explain the services and treatments available at our centre
- Perform a comprehensive medical assessment
This detailed evaluation allows us to create a personalized treatment plan designed to address your unique needs.
At the conclusion of your visit, your pain specialist may recommend initial treatments and, if appropriate, suggest consultations with other members of our multidisciplinary team. Once all assessments are complete, you’ll receive a structured, long-term care plan.
Following your consultation, your doctor will provide an update to your referring physician. Any additional specialists you see at our centre will also share similar updates to ensure continuity of care.

⚠️ Important: Because of the complexity of chronic pain and the needs of urgent cases, delays may occasionally occur. Please allow extra time for your appointment. Our team is committed to delivering thorough, compassionate care to every patient.
